Is tourism still part of an economic plan?

As of Dec. 17, authorities maintain restrictive measures across the country as part of the nation's efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Making tourism an important lever of the Ivorian economy by 2025 is the objective of the government despite the current situation, demonstrating the will to support this sector.

According to the predictions made by the United Nations in March, the inequalities have greatly increased in Sub-Saharan Africa since the COVID-19 outbreak, and that more measures should be undertaken to avoid long-term economical and social damages.
